You Are a Star/StarDreamers mission is to provide uplifting entertainment for children of color where they see people that look like themselves role-modeling positive values and attributes, that ignite sparks of aspirations to overcome adversity and succeed; to promote reading; and to encourage multicultural understanding and appreciation.

You Are A Star: A Motivational and Reading Enrichment Program

Program Description: You Are a Star is offering a short-term residency program that is pre-recorded and digitally based. This program consists of the lesson plans (Bundle A and Bundle B) below.

Bundle A for Grades 2-4 focuses on kindness and teamwork. This bundle consists of:
● 1 30-minute StarDreamers’ Land of YesYouCan video with viewing instructions.
● 1 workbook with authentic connection exercises and reflection questions.
● 1 StarDreamers inspirational song as a closing component; children can move to create their own “YesYouCan” dance.

Bundle B Grades 5-8 focuses on responsibility, consequences and bullying. This bundle consists of:
● 1 40-minute StarDreamers’ Land of YesYouCan video with viewing instructions.
● 1 workbook with authentic connection exercises and reflection questions.
● 1 StarDreamers inspirational song as a closing component; students can create their own version of a “You Are a Star” song.
